From the President

Thank you for your interest in Petro Andina.

February 20, 2006 marks the third anniversary from initiation of the Petro Andina concept.  During that period we have progressively attracted an active and supportive shareholder base, a solid opportunity portfolio built around an entirely new concept, constructive and mutually beneficial relationships with our partners and host governments, and a strong and committed team of employees who have proven that it really does work.

The material on this website will give you a flavor of what we have accomplished and give you a sense of the growth opportunities that will form the path for our next phase of corporate development.  Over the past three years we have repeatedly presented clear and aggressive targets for approval by our Board, and each time we have exceeded our expectations.  At time of writing we have just released details regarding engagement of a second drilling rig and contracting for a 700 km² 3D seismic program that will allow us to accelerate development activities while continuing the exploratory and delineation drilling required to unlock the value of our core holdings in the Río Colorado region.

At the same time, we are actively pursuing new business development within Argentina, and considering other opportunities.  In Argentina the next 12 months will bring the first large scale offerings of acreage since 1992 and the company is evaluating and positioning to capture our preferred opportunities.  

We have always believed that we should be a partner of choice, and we are finding that we have achieved that status.  We have proven that we have the right strategy, the right team and the right skills to collaborate effectively with established players in the Argentine industry.

Our founders recognized the reality that international start up ventures were not a “current flavour” in 2003, but we strongly believed that in the mid term the market would recognize the balance of higher potential and reward success.  With the acceleration of the program noted above, we will once again be returning to show our successes to the market and finance our next stages of growth.  We look forward to sharing our story with our existing and potential new investors, because it tells of historical successes and great future promise.
